ENERMIN Project ends with 25.8% of reduction in the energy invoice

The ENERMIN Project, promoted by the Association of Rural Development of Santa Maria Region (ADRITEM) and executed by Indice ICT & Management, united 16 companies from the region to reduce energy consumptions associated with production processes, in a structured program with very positive results.

Companies achieved a reduction in their energy invoices from 5.6% to 25.8%, scoring a maximum of 89.948,7 euros of reduction, with the implementation of an average of 3 energy efficiency measures for each company participating in the project.

The end of the project was celebrated with a closure seminar on 22th May 2015, in Civic Centre Justino Portal, in Cesar, Oliveira de Azeméis. In this seminar were discussed and evaluated the results of the project that began in 2013. The energy certification, training and Benchmarking were some of the used tools, including 900 trainees in 1700 hours of tutoring.  On the whole, there were 4 seminars that counted with the presence of 33 speakers and about twenty participants each.

Complementary investments were made such as audits, computer equipment, tests and calibrations. Enermin counted with a strong technological component, in which stands out the construction of a portal associated to the project and the creation of a management software of the energy system.

The agenda of the closure seminar – with the interventions of Carlos Vila (APCER – Portuguese Association of Certification), Jorge Borges de Araújo (Portuguese Association of Energy Companies and Services) and Miguel Oliveira (University of Aveiro) – included a brief presentation about the financial tools within the new communitarian framework Portugal 2020, with Sónia Camisa, from the Commission of Coordination and Regional Development of the North (CCDR-N).
